Let’s Dance            (March 12th 2006)

The sire

Lowelas was the stallion highlight in NMS in 2003, when he became a premium stallion and the undisputed favorite of the crowds. The brilliant chestnut moved well and jumped with good scope and technique. He had good business from mare owners during his first season and stamped his foals with his elgance, color and uphill movement. Lowelas pased his 30 day test, but missed a year for his 70 day test and thus was not in the Trakehner books as an active stallion for one season. He finished an excellent 70 day test in Marbach in 2006 and is now owned by British international Grand Prix rider Fiona Bigwood.

His sire Hockey is a Russian legend and one of the best Trakehner sport horse sires in the world, with over 40 offspring competing internationally in dressage and show jumping, among them the two times Olympian Almox Prints J. Dam sire Inter Graditz was an exceptional younger eventer in Germany and also sired the outstanding Sir Graditz, one of England's most successfuls how jumpers wiht lifetime earnings exceeding 250.000 Pounds, and he is just at the beginning of his career!! Lowelas' dam line comes from the Polish State Stud Liski and carries the accomplished TB Mangan xx.

The dam

The Rupie family is a smaller branch of the original Trakehner family of Heideröschen by Kupferhammer. The family was relocated to Russia and used extensively in the Russian Trakehner breed when German Trakehner expert Hans-Ernst Wezel re-imported to Germany what had been lost around the days of WWII. In combination with the excellent Impuls-son Karneol, he created a new, exceedingly successful branch of this family that has since then been crossed back and forth with proven Russian and older German lines, always with a very healthy dose of TB or Arabian blood close by. From this line come several more recent champion mares like Razzmataz and this dam here, Rominten VIII, who won her foal inspection, her mare inspection and produced a number of exceptional foals for Gestüt Schralling now. Through a different branch, this is also the family of the exceptional international show jumper stallion Topki (sire of the approved Trakehner Schenkendorf).

Let’s Dance is bred by gestut Schraling. They put him up for the Trakehner stallions approvals where he made it up to the final grading at the prestigious Neumünster Trakehner Hengstmarkt.

After that Let’s Dance came to stay with us in Holland. Here he has been gelded and ridden.

Let’s Dance has turned age 4 now and is extremely nice to ride, always willing to work and very kind!
